Industrial duty platinum resistance thermometer probe includes 6 ft. shielded and PTFE coated cable. These are the probes that shipped with Flame Boss 100 & 200. The coated cables are preferred by many people because they are easy to wipe clean and don t get tangled so easily when stored. Because of the coating they will not last long above 400˚F. This probe may be used in combination with the Flame Boss® Temperature Probe Y-cable on Flame Boss® model 300 controllers to add additional probes.
Use the following configuration for using 1 or 2 Y-cables to add 2 or 3 meat probes to 300 controllers:
2 Meat Probes: Plug 1 Y-cable into the pit jack on the Flame Boss® 300 controller. Plug the pit probe into the black lead labeled PIT M1. Plug 1 Meat probe into the red lead labeled M2 M3, plug the 2nd meat probe into the meat jack.
3 Meat Probes: Plug 1 Y-cable into the pit jack on the Flame Boss® 300 controller. Plug the pit probe into the black lead labeled PIT M1. Plug 1st meat probe into the red lead labeled M2 M3. Plug 2nd Y-cable into the meat jack. Plug 2nd meat probe into the black lead labeled PIT M1 and 3rd meat probe in red lead labeled M2 M3.
